If you have an emergency during regular business hours, please come straight to the hospital.  If you have time, please call ahead and we will prepare for your arrival.

After office hours, we can provide care for many emergencies.  This service is restricted for current clients only (patient must have been seen in the last 12 months).  For major trauma and surgery, we may refer you to the AA Emergency Clinic on Denis Drive in Lexington.  As we have no support staff after hours, it is difficult to manage some cases alone and many of these pets need continued monitoring through the night. 

Please do not call the office after hours to cancel or schedule appointments.

If you do have an emerency after hours, please call the office.  The answering service will record your message and page the doctor on-call.  He will, in turn, retrieve your message and return your call if available.  If you have not received a return call within 20 minutes, please call the AA Emergency Clinic (276-2505). 

 You will not receive a call if you are not a current client and the patient in need has not been seen here before.

Please understand that the Doctors and staff have families and obligations outside the office.  We will make all efforts to see our patients after hours until 10:00 p.m., however we are unable to attend every emergency.
