After Office Hours:

After office hours, we can provide care for many emergencies.

This service is restricted for current clients only (patient must have been seen in the last 12 months).

For major trauma and surgery, we may refer you to Med Vet or Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists in Lexington. As we have no support staff after hours, it is difficult to manage some cases alone and many of these pets need continued monitoring through the night.

Please do not call the office after hours to cancel or schedule appointments.

If you do have an emergency after hours, please call the office. The answering service will record your message and page the doctor on-call. He/she will in turn, retrieve your message and return your call if available.

We appreciate your understanding that the Doctors and staff have families and obligations outside the office. We will make every effort to see our patients after hours until 10:00 p.m, however there may be cases where we are unable to attend every emergency.
